History and Style:

This Union Church was built in 1871 to serve any protestant congregation. The church steeple was destroyed in the 1980’s when struck by lightning. The original brass ball that sat on top of the steeple was stolen as it lay on the side of the road after the accident and was replaced with a wooden, knobbed pinnacle.
