The archives at the John Fisher Memorial Museum preserve the stories and records of one of New Brunswick’s oldest and most historically significant communities. The collection reflects the deep rural, maritime, and Loyalist roots of the area and includes materials spanning from the days of early settlement to the present day.
Visitors will find a growing archive of family histories, genealogical records, church and school records, photographs, maps, and land grants, as well as personal papers, minute books, records from local businesses and organizations, and the extensive collection of interviews by Doris Calder. These resources offer valuable insights into the daily life, traditions, and transformations of the Kingston Peninsula, and its residents over more than two centuries.
The archives are open to researchers and community members according to John Fisher Memorial Museum's operating hours (Summer: 10 am - 4 pm, Tuesday - Saturday | Other Seasons: by appointment). Although we do not require a booking to visit the archive, we encourage you to contact us in advance so we can best assist you in exploring the Peninsula’s rich past.
