Bayswater Covered Bridge

Bayswater Covered Bridge - Milkish Inlet

History and Style:

Built in 1920, the Bayswater Bridge is a longstanding tribute to Kings County’s reputation as the Covered Bridge Capital of Atlantic Canada. Spanning across the Milkish Inlet, the bridge is still used for daily transportation. Just a short drive from the current bridge, a second covered bridge used to cross Milkish Creek, but has since been replaced by a modern causeway. Unfortunately, many local bridges have disappeared over the years due to disrepair and modernized highway regulations, but the Bayswater Bridge still stands as a reminder of our heritage.
