Catherine Marshall to Elizabeth (Marshall) Kennedy - 1879
Elizabeth Kennedy to Ethel B. (Kennedy) Steele - 1926
History and Style:
This house was built by Irish immigrant Stephen Marshall and his wife Catherine Doherty in the latter half of the 19th century. Four years before they built this house they lived in a log cabin on the same property. They had 12 children, but their daughter Elizabeth and her husband Joseph Kennedy inherited the farm in 1879. They eventually passed the farm on to their daughter Ethel and her husband Ralph Steele, and it remains in the hands of the Steele family to this day. This house was torn down.
