The Olivette

The steamboat Olivette is seen here at Burton. The busy scene captured by photographer N. F. Albright, recalls many activities arranged to attract Frederictonians to Burton on a day's excursion.

The side wheeler, the Soulanges, was renamed the Olivette in 1893. She was 135 feet long and had a capacity of 201 tons. The Olivette was burnt at Saint John in November 30, 1898.
